NPD Online Research is a survey company that has been around for 35 years now and claims to currently represent over 1600 business, including many fortune 500 companies.
They have very simple and easy to do surveys that will not take too much of your time, but that being said, you get paid for what you do. That is to say NPD very rarely offers cash as a reward for completing their online surveys. Most of their rewards are in the form of entries into draws. There are some cash rewards however.
Here is their draw entry structure:
* Daily $100 cash drawing
* Monthly $1,000 drawing (5 winners each month)
* Quarterly $5,000 drawing
To give them credit, NPD is very clear about that right from the start. They never try to deceive you into thinking that you will make lots of money with them. They are instead interested in influencing the way products are marketed. But lets be honest here, they are making money each time a survey is completed and I would bet dimes to dollars that the amount they make is way more than the amount they pay out in prizes.
I did surveys for these guys for a bit, but to be honest, I do paid surveys for cash, not just the chance to win cash or to influence marketing procedures.
Although I do not do surveys for NPD, many other people do. The reviews I have read were about half positive and half negative. The positive reviews stated that the surveys are short, fun to do and the site administrators were very friendly. They also went on to say that users truly believed that NPD's research went to improving the way manufactures market their product.
The negative reviews all went along the same lines. People did not believe that the rewards were worth the time spent completing the online surveys. Like me, they preferred cash rewards.
All in all, I do not think NPD Online Research is a bad company, but in my opinion, they need to offer more cash incentives. But that it just me.
If you want to make a difference in the way products are manufactured and marketed then you may just want to give them a try. Who knows? You just might win one of their drawings and then it would all be worth it.
The sign up process is very short. Just enter your name and paid online survey email address, (as I am sure you already know not to use your regular email address for surveys). Once you fill in that info they will send you a confirmation email. Confirm and you are done. It will take less than 2 minutes.
