Opinion Outpost Review

Looking for an Opinion Outpost review?

Opinion Outpost is a free to join survey site that Canadians can sign up with and get paid for their opinions. This is one of my favorite survey companies to work with. They send many paid surveys to me on a regular basis, most of which I qualify for.

I mentioned them in an earlier post but their parent company has changed names and they have switched up their prize structure a little bit. Due to this fact, I figure a new review of Opinion Outpost is in order.

Opinion Outpost Surveys

The surveys from these guys are fairly standard and will take from 15 to 20 minutes each to complete. Surveys vary in range of value from $1 to 10 averaging to be worth $3 to $4. High paying surveys are not uncommon though and you should expect to see a high paying survey or 2 every month.

Filling out an accurate profile with Opinion Outpost is important, as they are very good at sending matching surveys. I have the highest ratio of surveys that I have qualified for as opposed to ones that I have not with these guys.

Once all your profile surveys are complete you can expect to receive at least 2 to 3 survey invites each week.

Opinion Outpost Rewards Program

Opinion Outpost used to have a low minimum cashout threshold and they would send you a cheque once you obtained 50 opinion points ($5). Now you still can cashout with only 50 points, but at this low point, you can only get a $5 amazon gift voucher or have a $5 donation made to the American Red Cross.

For 150 points you can now have a $15 Citi gift card mailed to you. I have never had one sent to me and have not checked it out, but another survey site I was involved with stated that there is an activation fee to use the card. ($5 if I am not mistaken)

Amazon vouchers and donations to the Red Cross are all fine, but if you are like me, you want cold hard cash.

Of course, Opinion Outpost still offers cash rewards, they just require more points now. If you want to have a check mailed out you will need to save up 200 opinion points ($20). Once requested it takes about 4 business days for the cheque to be processed and mailed. There is a page that will let you track your cheque's progress from the point of being requested to it being mailed. Once mailed, it has taken no longer than 3 weeks to have it sent to my Canadian address in BC.

Opinion Outpost Referral Program

This is a great aspect about this Canadian survey company. Once you have created your free account, not only will they pay you for completing surveys, but they will also pay you for referring new members to them. For every new person you refer to them, they will credit your account with 20 opinion points ($2).

The one drawback to that is that the new member must complete their first survey before your account is credited the 20 points. This makes sense though. If the first survey was not required, unscrupulous people could send invites to themselves and falsely gain points.

You can invite people in 2 ways. The first required you to enter your friends email addresses and Opinion Outpost will send your friends one email inviting them to become a member. If they sign up for a free account and do a survey you will be credited the points.

The other way is to set up links on website using a special link code that the outpost provides on your member home page. Same as an email, if they sign up after clicking your special link and complete a survey you will receive $2.

You can set these links up on blog (like this one) and hope that your review convinces someone that this company is worth doing paid surveys for. Oh, did I mention that Opinion Outpost is worth doing surveys for?

If you link your account with your facebook or twitter account, every time you cash out an automatic post will be sent out to your wall. This post will inform your followers that you have just cashed out for X amount of dollars and offers you yet a third way to gain referrals.

All in all, I have nothing bad to say about this survey company. They have treated me very well and have paid in a timely fashion. I hope this Opinion Outpost review has convinced you that they are a legitimate survey company. If you would like to give them a try:
